SW-8 Resolves finer, more differentiated
I have now been down to my music room and listened to a few tracks, it is clear that this part is staying!
Here are my personal impressions
- Spatiality increases
- Bass is more contoured
- Resolves finer, more differentiated
- More volume in general
Two examples I have listened to more often now
Sara Bareilles - (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay (Live at the Variety Playhouse, Atlanta, GA - May 2013) from the album Brave Enough: Live at the Variety Playhouse
Right at the beginning you are much more in the middle of it.
The room gets more width and, above all, more depth. You feel the space, the atmosphere more intensely, more physically.
The audience is better separated, the individual voices are more clearly defined.
When the audience starts to clap, you notice that the room suddenly has more depth than before.
Jennifer Warnes - Way Deep Down from the album The Hunter.
More width in the performance here too.
The rumbas on the left and the rattles on the right are more detailed.
The bassdrum has more depth and vibrates out better, is more contoured.
When the bass joins in, the bass and bass drum are better separated.
The 2nd voice, which is partly added in the course, is also better worked out/separated from the 1st voice.
So much for my humble impressions
